What can I buy from Guidescapes.com?
You can buy digital versions of our images from our website. These come in different sizes depending on your needs: If you need an image for your website, or CD-ROM, then the Low-Res images are best for you. If you need an image for a professionally printed publication, then Hi-Res or Super Hi-Res images are best for you. Once you have purchased your image, you can download it from our website in zipped JPEG format.
Guidescapes are planning to offer more products in future, such as CDs, calanders, posters and diaries.
What am I allowed to use my image for once I have purchased it? What am I not allowed to do with a purchased image?
You are allowed to use your purchased image in accordance with our Licence Agreement, which you must agree to before buying an image.
Our images are Royalty-Free, meaning once you have bought them, you can use them forever, and you do not have to pay each time you use them.
However, you can’t make purchased images available for distribution, and you can’t sell them on to a 3rd party.

What size image is right for me?
For best quality in the finished product you should choose the right image size when you buy an image from Guidescapes.com. If you are going to display the image on a computer monitor (for example on your website or on a CD-ROM), then choose Low-Res when buying your chosen image. If the image will be used in a printed publication, then choose Hi-Res or Super Hi-Res depending on the final size of the printed image. You should choose your size carefully, because you cannot scale a lower resolution picture upwards, without a significant loss of quality.
The table below will give you an idea of the standard dimensions of our images. However, certain printers will be able to successfully reproduce images at much larger sizes. Ask your printer for more information.

Our images are priced in $US dollars according to their resolution and size. You can pay in several different currencies at the prevailing exchange rate when you purchase an image.

Is it safe to use my credit card on Guidescapes.com?

How do I obtain the image once it has been purchased?
Once you have paid for the image(s) with your credit card, you will be directed to the downloads page, where all your previously-purchased images are available. Simply click the relevant link to download and save the image to your computer. The image is a JPEG file which has been compressed and zipped to save download time. To use the image, unzip it, and import or open it in your image or layout program. You can always re-visit the downloads page by signing in to your account, and clicking the Downloads link.
What is your refund and returns policy?
If you are not happy with your image purchase, you must request a refund within 48 hours of purchasing the image(s). You will be required to accept a legal agreement undertaking not to use the purchased images, and to delete these images from your computer and anywhere else you may already have used them. We will remove the image from your account and refund the purchase price to your credit card. To request a refund, Sign in to Guidescapes.com and click the Refunds & Returns Policy link.
